With a group of peers, we were tasked with designing a campaign that challenges the societal idea of “hyper-masculinity.” Many suffer from how society expects and assumes roles for men and women based on the stereotype that was placed on each gender. My part of the campaign focuses on how men are treated harshly due to them acting in a manner that is considered “feminine”, or just not acting “manly” enough. The message I wanted to portray was supporting and helping these individuals in any way that fights against the hyper-masculine norm that was drilled into our society. I was also lucky enough to have my poster featured in a student exhibition.
