STEM Day by the Bay

Overview

STEM Day by the Bay is one of the “Family Fun Days” that the Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History holds. This event celebrates STEM (Science, technology, Engineering, and Math) and the exploration of that world. A larger campaign was initiated for this event, which was advertised through social media, digital boards, and even the local mall, La Palmera Mall.

I wanted to represent STEM through a “mechanical” color palette while connecting the rounded shapes and gradients that have been used with the museum’s branding. Photos were limited to two subjects: a Valero engineer and a wondering child. Valero was sponsoring the event, so that was one reason for using their employee, but the other reason was to show an example of someone in the field of STEM. The child was to connect the event at a familial level.
